A Complete Camera for VR180 and Stereo 3D Production
1. The YVR-001 is a dual-lens VR180 and stereoscopic 3D camera designed to simplify immersive content creation.
2. Instead of building a 3D capture system from two separate cameras, synchronization equipment, external recording devices, and additional monitoring hardware, the camera integrates dual-lens imaging, stereo processing, recording, monitoring, audio, and live streaming into a single system.
3. It supports up to 8K VR180 video at 30fps, 6K VR180 video at 50fps, and 4K 3D video at 60fps. The camera also supports 8K VR180 photography and 4K 3D photography.
4. Designed for VR content creators, 3D production, education, training, virtual tours, events, sports, cultural documentation, and live streaming, the YVR-001 provides a practical platform for capturing immersive stereoscopic content.

Education and Training Create immersive educational and training content that allows viewers to experience scenes from a more natural first-person perspective. |
Virtual Tours Capture immersive environments for virtual tours, museums, exhibitions, cultural sites, tourism, and real-world location documentation. |
Sports and Events Capture wide-field stereoscopic footage for sporting events, performances, exhibitions, and other live experiences. |
Immersive Media Production Suitable for content creators, studios, media organizations, and businesses developing VR, AR, and immersive visual experiences. |
The underlying technology has also been developed for broader real-time 3D imaging applications, including VR/AR content and advanced stereo vision.
The underlying development system specifies approximately 2-pixel real-time horizontal alignment accuracy, distortion control within 0.5°, and concurrent timing precision down to 0.00001 second. These figures describe the stereo imaging and calibration technology rather than a standalone product tolerance specification.
HIGH-PRECISION STEREO CALIBRATION
Consistency Between Two Optical Channels
1. A stereo camera needs more than two matched sensors and lenses. The physical relationship between the two optical channels must also be accurately controlled.
2. The production technology incorporates high-precision stereo calibration and verification processes covering lens alignment, optical positioning, and system-level validation.
3. The stereo lens module is designed around defined baseline specifications, with physical tolerances controlled during production to improve consistency between manufactured units.
4. This approach helps create a more consistent stereoscopic image and supports comfortable 3D viewing.
ALL-IN-ONE 3D WORKFLOW
Capture. Process. Monitor. Record. Stream.
The YVR-001 brings the essential functions of a VR180 and 3D production system together in one device.
Capture
Dual Sony IMX577 sensors and customized binocular fisheye lenses capture synchronized stereoscopic images.
Process
Integrated image processing and stereo processing prepare the dual-channel video for recording and streaming.
Monitor
The built-in 3.5-inch LCD provides direct monitoring and camera operation.
Record
VR180 and 3D video can be recorded locally to a high-speed TF card.
Stream
RTMP, RTSP, UVC, and SRT support provides multiple options for live production and streaming.
IMAGE QUALITY AND PROCESSING
Sony IMX577 Dual-Sensor Architecture
1. Each optical channel uses a Sony IMX577 1/2.3-inch 12.3MP image sensor.
2. The dual-sensor architecture provides separate left- and right-eye image channels for stereoscopic capture.
3. The camera is powered by the RK3588 platform and runs on Linux, providing the processing foundation for high-resolution video capture, recording, streaming, and camera functions.
RECORDING AND STREAMING
Flexible Output for Different Production Workflows
The YVR-001 supports both local recording and network-based live streaming.

BUILT-IN MONITORING AND AUDIO
Monitor and Control Directly from the Camera
The built-in 3.5-inch LCD display provides an integrated way to monitor and operate the camera.
Display: 3.5-inch LCD
Resolution: 800 × 480
For audio, the camera includes dual built-in microphones and supports external microphones through the 3.5 mm audio interface and USB Type-C.
Audio is supported at AAC 48 kHz.
This approach allows users to choose the optimal lens for their working distance instead of relying on a single autofocus lens with a fixed focal length.
